Though a partnership between Helmets First and local police departments, police are now pulling kids over to reward them for wearing bicycle helmets. Not only does this encourage the proper use of a helmet, it also provides an opportunity for positive interactions between children and police. These police departments are also offering free, properly-fitted bicycle helmets for children who need them.
